Ljubka Šorli, a poet born in Klanc near Tolmin, stands as one of the most remarkable figures in the history of the Littoral region. Despite the immense hardships she endured, including the martyrdom of her husband, composer Lojze Bratuž, and the brutal torture inflicted by the Fascist regime, she maintained a noble and humane spirit until the end of her days.
